Personally, I never thought that I'd be doing this, the whole "band" thing. I've never really been able to stick
to playing one instrument. So when I asked my parents to help me buy my first synth, they were obviously a bit dubious. "Well, what are you
going to use it for?" they asked. To which my answer was "I dunno, I'll join a band". In less than 6 months I was here, in Discotheque Wreck. Now, later down the line, I realise that this is the best decision I've ever made. I like to think my energy, enthusiasm and
commitment compensates even when I do hit the odd bum note. |
There've always been musical influences in my life; from the cheesy 90s I grew
up with and the school musicals I was part of to the extended cultural awareness provided by my sister's pre-teen rock angst and my
friends' club anthems. I feel that with my musical experience, along with the rest of the band's, we're provided with a great foundation
for something amazing.
